Kaaren Styles is a singer, songwriter, rapper and master of freestyle performance. Her goal as an Artist is to share her life experiences while inspiring others to be the best they can be. Kaaren loves to make people move, but she also truly believes music can be a powerful tool for healing and self empowerment. Check out the many styles she has to offer.
Her first international release in 2003 (under the name Kaaren Alise) was a collaboration with reggae artist Jah Mason called “Who Dem A Ramp Wit”, a dancehall inspired roots track. Her most recent release is the remix to “Headbanger” with Web Three and Wrekonize of MayDay, following the hiphop/rock collaboration album with Web Three "Loss, Love & The New Normal". This followed her solo project Steel EP available for free online. But her name “Styles” rings truest when she decides to freestyle. She has the effortless ability to adapt to the crowd, the music, the energy of her audience and collaborators.
Not only a performer, Kaaren has also worked behind the scenes. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she worked for and invested in I.D. Labs Recording and Production Studio. She was the in-house vocalist for the studio while simultaneously working on production of the PBS My Music Series. Her move to Miami began with an internship at Slip N Slide Records until moving her career into television production. Miami also allowed K Styles to produce StylesNasty, stemming from her close relationship with Rich Flo Entertainment founder DJ Nasty Nate, booking gigs across Miami as DJ and Hype Girl Host.
